Flights have resumed at Germany's Munich airport after a temporary suspension when smoke was detected.
Following a fire department response, flight operations resumed at 10:15pm on Sunday (6:15am Monday AEST), the airport said in a statement on its website.
The tower at the airport was evacuated at 8:33pm due to the smell of smoke, the airport said earlier.
There were some delays in arrivals and departures, with some flights reportedly being diverted.
German media said the incident appears to have been a false alarm. The reason for the flight interruption was a report of suspected smoke odour, according to media reports.
