A man died at the scene of a light plane crash in a regional South Australian town on Friday, October 10.

The aerobatic plane crashed in a paddock near Goolwa Airport, south of Adelaide, about 2.30pm that day.
The pilot, a 50-year-old man from Hazelwood Park and only occupant in the plane, died at the scene.
Police and emergency services attended the scene to investigate the circumstance surrounding the crash.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) sent two investigators from Canberra to Goolwa on Saturday, October 11 to start the investigation.
Greg Madden, manager aviation safety investigations at ATSB, said the plane was a single-seat, amateur-built One Design DR 107.
He said the pilot was doing local flying at the Goolwa Airport on Friday afternoon and the crash happened south of the airport.
Mr Madden said this type of aircraft is not required to have on-board recording devices. As such, the investigators will look at the plane’s damage, maintenance records, pilot records, weather information at the time, and interview witnesses.
