The funding enabled the planning, supply and installation of six handrails, giving safe and easy access onto and off the green.
Faye Fuller, secretary, Miller Park Bowling Club was happy and relieved to have the new safety equipment.
"Our bowling green is used by plenty of people ranging in size and age and we recognised the emerging safety issue of not having any handrails to hold onto when accessing the green," she said.
"Also, in the past we have unfortunately seen bowlers stumble and even fall due to the difficulty in stepping up or down onto the green and we want to avoid any serious accidents.
"The new handrails are durable, made of stainless steel and offer a wide hoop to grip tight when stepping onto the bowling green.

"All the bowlers welcomed this addition and feel safer when playing the game they love.
"The club is reliant on volunteers and donations from local businesses to maintain and upgrade the equipment and facilities at the club, so we are thankful to MTW for their funding."
Miller Park Bowling Club is a small bowling club in Branxton. It has around 35 members both men and women. The club offers social, championships, pennants, barefoot and travelling bowling.
Mount Thorley Warkworth General Manager Cris Shadbolt was happy to help upgrade the club.
"Lawn bowls brings people in our community together and provides several benefits including improved fitness, balance and coordination as well as social connection and positive mental wellbeing," Cris said.
"We are proud our funding could enhance the safety equipment at the club for the benefit of the members in our community."
The donation was part of the Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) Community Support Program, which aims to make a positive difference in the local community and to the lives of the people who work and live in the areas it operates.
