Preparing for his rookie season on the main domestic circuit, Gray is one of nine drivers aged under 25.
Across the overall 24-man competition, the average age has dropped to 27 and eclipses the previous mark by two years.
Action gets underway with Friday night's season opener in Sydney, followed by races at the same track on both Saturday and Sunday.
Gray spoke to Supercars media following a recent testing session, describing the step up in grade.
"I think just understanding the car. For me, it's a lot different to what I'm used to in the Super2 cars," Gray said.
"To adapt to this car was the biggest thing. And I think by the end of the day we got there."
In terms of the first round on February 20, which is due to start at 7:50pm (AEDT), Gray felt ready.
"I think we're pretty well prepared to head into Sydney," he said.
"We've done everything we need to, ran through our programs, and I think we'll just go to Sydney, see where we end up, and it is what it is."
Gray is one of five Supercars rookies while Bathurst 1000 winner Matt Payne (23), 2025 Sprint Cup winner Broc Feeney (23), race-winning Kiwi Ryan Wood (22), and Kai Allen (20) are also among the youngsters.
Chaz Mostert is the defending champion.
