Athletic Bilbao have beaten Alaves 2-0 in their Basque Country derby for their fourth Spanish league win of the season.
Inaki Williams and Oihan Sancet scored a goal in each half for the visitors, who moved two points behind leaders Real Madrid ahead of the weekend matches.
Athletic sit in fourth place, tied on points with Barcelona and Girona.
It was the third straight match without conceding for Athletic, whose only loss was against Madrid in the opening round. They also drew at Mallorca.
Promoted Alaves stayed closer to the bottom of the standings after their second consecutive defeat and fourth of the season.
They had won their other two home match this season against Sevilla and Valencia.
Alaves next visit Celta Vigo while Athletic host Getafe.
