Police were called to Paris Creek Rd in Strathalbyn, about an hour southeast of Adelaide, on Friday afternoon.
Local detectives, forensic investigators, SES volunteers and other specialist police searched the area on Saturday however did not find anything else.
The bones have been sent off for further examination, which police expect could take some time.
