This international airline is offering unbeatable fares until May 17.

It's not every day that you can fly to Asia for just a couple of hundred dollars. But thanks to Vietjet's new promo, you can. The budget Vietnamese airline has put on sale one million tickets starting at $200 for travellers flying across its entire network, including direct flights to Ho Chi Minh City from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

And the news gets better: those fares includes fees and taxes. But you'll have to act fast. The promo - for travel between August 10 and December 20 - ends on May 17. And needless to say, as tickets sell the lowest fares start disappearing. vietjetair.com

"Life etches itself onto our faces as we grow older," Rembrandt once said. If you want to study the Dutch master's life etched on to his own face, make a beeline for the Rembrandt: True to Life exhibition, which has just opened at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne (until September 10), and features Self-Portrait.

Painted by Rembrandt in 1659, three years after he went broke, the poignant work captures one of the most harrowing times in the artist's life. The most comprehensive Australian show of Rembrandt's works in more than a quarter of a century, the exhibition also features The Three Trees - the largest and widely considered to be the artist's most evocative etching. ngv.vic.gov.au
