Take on The Kimberley, Kakadu and Katherine in this 12 day tour of the Top End of Australia with two departures. A great winter escape, join The Senior Newspaper and Travelrite International when you choose from dates July 17 to 28 or August 14 to 25, 2023.

The tours start out from fascinating Broome. See Chinatown, the Pearl Luggers Museum, the courthouse and the Broome Cemetery before heading to Cable Beach to discover real dinosaur footprints. Be intrigued by facets of WA's pearling industry and visit a local pearl farm.

A short flight and fast boat cruise takes you to the spectacular Horizontal Falls, one of the world's largest tidal movements.

Kununurra is reached by another flight and will be the base for the next four nights. Spend the day seeing the sights of Kununurra and the surrounding agricultural region with a local guide. Later the group travels to Wyndham for amazing views of the Cambridge Gulf from Five Rivers Lookout before dinner at the Pumphouse Restaurant in Kununurra.

Another tour highlight is the World Heritage Listed Bungle Bungles. Check them out from the air with a flight over before landing in the Purnululu National Park to meet a 4WD bus for a closer look. Do a guided 3km trek called the Domes Walk.

Be guided into Cathedral Gorge and its towering cliffs to walk the bed of Piccaninny Creek. A return flight to Kununurra takes you over the Argyle Diamond Mine.

The following day a coach delivers the group to Lake Argyle and the Argyle Downs Homestead Museum. Triple J Tours pick up the tour for a 55km scenic cruise by boat back to Kununurra, but not before taking in a colourful East Kimberley sunset.
