Mudgee’s brand-new arts precinct opened last weekend and is set to become the home of the arts for the region in the Central West, NSW.

The precinct’s community workspaces will nurture established local artists and encourage a new generation of emerging talent. The opening exhibition in the precinct’s purpose-built gallery space features works by landscape artist Guido Maestri, in a collection titled <Stories from Homedale>. The opening exhibition will be on display until November 28.

The Mudgee Arts Precinct’s forecourt features <Encounter> by John Fitzmaurice, a 2.5-metre tall and over three-metre wide stainless steel sculpture. The piece was donated by Sculptures in the Garden, an annual sculpture display, now in its 11th year, showcased in the rural setting of local vineyard Rosby Wines. View Sculptures in the Garden from October 9-24.
