Pelting rain, thunderstorms, and flash flooding are expected to lash a large chunk of NSW today, from Coffs Harbour on the North Coast to Bega on the South Coast and out west to Coonamble.

Already-flooded communities like those at Richmond and Windsor in the Hawkesbury north-west of Sydney are bracing for renewed major flooding. Early on Monday morning, the Hawkesbury River was rising in both suburbs.
Parts of the Hunter at Bulga, Singleton and Maitland can also expect minor to major flooding. There is a minor flood warning for the Macquarie River at Bathurst.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) said heavy rainfall is expected over Monday and Tuesday.
"An upper low over northern NSW will slowly move south today and into Tuesday," the Bureau said.
"A surface trough off the NSW coast is expected to strengthen, bringing moist south-easterlies onto the Mid-North Coast, Hunter, Sydney metropolitan area, Illawarra, South Coast, and parts of the tablelands and northwest slopes and plains."
It said six-hourly rainfall totals between 70 to 120mm are possible.
Meanwhile, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has reportedly warned parts of Lismore on the NSW Northern Rivers could be uninhabitable for years as 2000 homes and businesses have been declared unliveable, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Thousands of people have been displaced in Lismore and Ballina and fled to evacuation centres as parts of the North Coast towns were inundated last week.
Flood warnings are in place for parts of southern Queensland too, including major flooding of the Condamine and Balonne Rivers, Eyre Creek, lower Moonie River and Weir River.
