Following its hugely popular spring holiday open days and by popular demand, Aussie Ark will be open from 11am to 2pm between January 1 and 30 and will offer visitors guided tours of the facility that is home to the largest population of the endangered Tasmanian devil on mainland Australia, Eastern quolls, Parma wallabies, Bandicoots and Brush-tailed rock-wallabies.
One-hour tours led by Aussie Ark Rangers will be held 11.30am and 12.45pm each day. Self-guided visits are not available.
"Each tour... will be different as different enclosures are visited. We have tried to organise that the tours mimic one another as closely as possible, however we do have to use alternate routes so that our animals are not inhibited by constant access to their wild enclosures," Aussie Ark stated.
Aussie Ark's 400-hectare wildlife sanctuary officially opened in 2020. It was established to help fight the extinction of some of Australia's most loved species, like the Tasmanian devil.
Open day tickets, available at the door or online, are $35 per adult, $15 per child, $29 per concession, $90 for a family (2A & 2C), $60 for a family (1A & 2C) and $10 per extra child.
Aussie Ark, located along Tomalla Road at Tomalla, can only be accessed via Scone and Muswellbrook.
Gloucester Road to Aussie Ark is closed following floods earlier in the year.
