Story time at the library

December 16: Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries. Time: 10am-11am.

Join the Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries teams for interactive stories and craft suitable for ages 3-5 years. Younger siblings are also welcome. This will be the final event for 2021.

Hunter Wine Country Markets

December 18: De Bortoli Wines, 532 Wine Country Drive, Pokolbin. Time: 9am.

A boutique handmade market featuring local artisans. Stalls range from fashion, food, jewellery, local produce, handmade soaps, candles, woodwork and pottery. This is the last market for 2021.

Denman Christmas light competition

Until December 19: Across Denman.

The Denman Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Christmas light competition for the town with cash prizes available for the best residential displays. Judging is set to take place on Sunday, December 19. First place will be awarded a prize of $750, followed by $500 and $300 for second and third places respectively.

Little Ones Library

December 21: Singleton Library, 8-10 Queen Street. Time: 10am-10.30am. Cost: Free but bookings required.

Little Ones Library is an interactive 30 minute program for 2 to 3 year olds run by Singleton Public Library. Reserve a spot online at eventbrite.com.au/e/little-ones-library-lol-tickets-207683927217.

Samaritans Christmas Lunch 

December 25: Singleton Showground, 32 Bathurst St, Singleton. Time: 11am-1pm. Cost: Free.

Samaritans Christmas Lunch in Singleton is inclusive and organised specifically for those who may otherwise be unable to celebrate Christmas. This year a picnic concept has been created for Samaritans to deliver Christmas cheer and to keep the community safe. Just turn up on Christmas Day and collect a hamper, a picnic blanket and gifts for all ages to help you enjoy this year's festive season.
