Roads across the Upper Hunter have been closed due to heavy rainfall and flooding on the morning of Friday, November 26.

Muswellbrook Shire Council said Denman Road is currently closed from the Bengalla Link Road intersection to the Golden Highway Intersection.
Edderton, Mangoola and Dry Creek Roads have also been closed according to the Council.
The Council said the Golden Highway has water over the road in numerous locations, including near Godolphin horse stud, Thomas Mitchell Drive and Wybong Road.
Meanwhile in the Upper Hunter, Upper Hunter Shire Council said there a number of roads closed due to more than 45mm of rainfall overnight, including:
- Park St, Scone
- Kingdon St, Scone
- Idaville Rd
- Muralla Causeway, Murrurundi
- Pages River
- Llangollen Rd, Cassilis
- Branksome St, Cassilis
- Bunnan Rd at Dartbrook
- Sandy Creek Crossing
- Dry Creek Crossing
- Speed reduced to 20km/h in parts of the New England Highway between Scone and Aberdeen, reports of water over the road
- Gundy Rd
- Coulsons Creek Rd, Merriwa
- Segenhoe Rd, Scone
- Barton St, Scone
- Parkville, New England Hwy
- Rouchel Rd
- Middlebrook Rd, Scone
- Scone Rd, between Merriwa and Scone has water across it in parts.
- Flaggs Rd, Merriwa
- Moobi Rd, Scone
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Meteorology cancelled a severe thunderstorm warning it had earlier issued for the Hunter and parts of the Mid North Coast and North West Slopes and Plains Forecast districts.
The Bureau said the "immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary".
