A man has been taken to hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics after his car was swept off Idaville Road by floodwaters in Merriwa on Monday, November 22.

NSW Ambulance confirmed a man had been taken to Merriwa Hospital and appeared to be in a stable condition after the incident.
The Merriwa VRA Rescue Squad, the provider of SES rescue services for the western half of the Upper Hunter Shire, said its personnel had worked alongside NSW Police and NSW Ambulance crews "to effect a safe rescue of a single occupant of the vehicle".
"At the risk of sounding like a broken record, please, stay out of flood waters," the Merriwa VRA Rescue Squad said in a post on Facebook.
"After another flood rescue this morning, Merriwa VRA Rescue Squad are asking everyone to stay safe and dry."
Heavy rainfall has led to widespread flooding of roads in Muswellbrook and Upper Hunter Shires on Monday and the Hunter NSW SES said a minor flooding alert had been issued for Aberdeen, Muswellbrook and parts of the Upper Hunter Shire.
"The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a MINOR flood warning for the Upper Hunter River," Hunter NSW SES said.
"Heavy rainfall across Upper Hunter catchment over the weekend has caused rapid river level rises along the Upper Hunter River and its tributaries."
"Across the Upper Hunter low lying rural properties and roads may be affected. Minor flooding is expected along the Upper Hunter River at Aberdeen and Muswellbrook."
Hunter NSW SES said the Hunter River at Aberdeen was likely to reach around 7.30 metres at midday on Monday with minor flooding, with further rises possible.
Meanwhile, the Hunter River at Muswellbrook was likely to reach around 7.30 metres at 6pm Monday with minor flooding and further rises possible.
