Australian Defence Force personnel will conduct counter-terrorism exercises across much of NSW, including close to Singleton, between October and November, 2021.
The Department of Defence said in a statement the training will take place during the day and night and will involve responses to simulated terrorist scenarios.
"The public should not be alarmed if they see or hear military helicopters, vehicles and military personnel carrying weapons," the statement read.
"People who see the training should not be concerned that any of the locations are under any form of actual threat."
No live ammunition will be used in the defence force training exercises, which will also take place in Sydney, Cowra and Beecroft Range.
The Department of Defence said it would not provide specific times for the training exercises and stated the training is not a part of the Australian Government's COVID-19 response.
