No new cases were reported in the Upper Hunter region by HNE Health this morning, although there are still a number of active cases in the region.
According to NSW Health there are currently 13 active cases in Muswellbrook LGA, 15 in Singleton LGA and 1 in the Upper Hunter LGA.
Of the new cases announced by HNE Health this morning, 22 cases were in Cessnock, 14 in Lake Macquarie, 14 in Newcastle, 12 in Mid-Coast LGA, seven in Port Stephens LGA, seven in Maitland LGA and two in Tamworth Regional LGA.
There are currently 19 people currently hospitalised with COVID-19 across the region, including four in intensive care.
More COVID exposure sites were released by HNE Health in the past 24 hours, including Singleton Gym and Swim on Friday, October 1 and Tuesday, October 5 from 5am to 6:20am on both days.
Across the state, NSW Health announced 444 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 and the deaths of four people today.
There have now been 448 COVID-19 related deaths in NSW since the current outbreak began on June 16, 2021.
There are currently 716 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital across the state, with 150 people in intensive care.
NSW has reached a 90.8 per cent first dose vaccination rate in the eligible population aged over-16 and 75.2 per cent are fully vaccinated.
In the 12-15 year-old population, 69.7 per cent have received their first dose of a COVID vaccine and 20.3 per cent are fully vaccinated.
