Hunter New England (HNE) Health has reported 47 new cases of COVID-19 across the region this morning, but no new cases of COVID were identified across Upper Hunter LGAs.

HNE Health confirmed 13 new cases in Maitland, 11 in Lake Macquarie, nine in Cessnock, six in Newcastle, three in Port Stephens, three in Mid-Coast LGA and two in Tamworth.
There are currently 1,102 active COVID cases across the HNE region, with 23 people currently in hospital including four in intensive care.
Further COVID exposure sites were released by HNE Health in Singleton, with the Albion Hotel listed at various times from Friday, October 1 through to Monday, October 4.
Anybody who visited the Albion Hotel at the times listed by HNE Health is encouraged to get tested immediately and self-isolate until receiving a negative result.
Meanwhile, identified cases across the state have continued to drop after the first stage of reopening began yesterday.
NSW Health announced 360 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 across the state and the deaths of four people.
The state has now reached a first dose vaccination rate of 90.4 per cent in the eligible population aged over-16 while 74 per cent are fully vaccinated.
