Held at the Heights Sports Centre every Friday night from 4pm to 6pm, the premise for the program, according to organisers, is defined simply in the name 'Youth off The Streets'.
The goal is to create a safe, positive environment where young people between 12 and 25 years of age can get some dinner, play some games, learn new skills, socialize and if needed speak to the YOTS team who are qualified and experienced youth workers with resources and skills to help with anything a young person may be dealing with.
The initiative has been running for several weeks and has already attracted attendees, according to organisers.
The program has also taken advantage of access to the Singleton Heights Sports Centres Program Coordinator.
With a background in Outdoor Education and facilitation of a huge variety of games and challenges the participants are never bored with something new every week.
Previous sessions have included learning to play squash, dodgeball, table tennis and Foosball plus obstacle courses, basketball and Origami.
Food is free and provided by Belgravia Leisure and YOTS and is cooked on site.
