The RSL will play host to Quilts on Parade, an event that aims to raise funds for the residents of the 24/7 aged care facility at Merton Court, Denman.
Dottie Gray is the organiser of the event and has encouraged quilters to enter an item for show or sale at the fundraiser.
"I have lived here since 2000 and have now moved to the retirement village Merton Living," Ms Gray said.
"Part of the complex is Merton Court 24/7 Aged and Invalid Care Facility. They don't receive government funding and due to the aging community there is no auxiliary to fundraise for them.
"When I heard the staff were putting their hands in their own pockets to fund gifts and craft items for the residents I approached the manager to ask if I could fundraise for them."
The event will run from 10am to 2pm on June 27 and entry is a gold coin donation. Any sales incur a 10 per cent commission.
Those keen to show their work should register their interest before June 25.
There will be a prize for best in show and raffles drawn on the day with the major prize a painted quilt made and donated by Bev Skinner.
