Flooding rains pummelled the state in March, inundating regions from the mid-north coast down to western Sydney.

Services Australia figures show 321,000 claims for a one-off disaster recovery payment have been paid out, totalling more than $385 million.

The payment, which is worth $1000 for an adult and $400 for a child under 16, is open to people who've had a family member die or go missing, been injured or had their home "significantly damaged" by the extreme weather event.

More than 1100 claims have been processed for the disaster recovery allowance, which helps cover loss of income.

The Morrison government has also provided close to $7 million in financial relief to victims of two separate natural disasters which have struck WA in 2021.

Some 4750 claims worth a combined $5.7 million have been processed in the aftermath of tropical cyclone Seroja, while about $1.15 million has been paid out following bushfires near Perth in February.

Government Services Minister Linda Reynolds said Service Australia had received more than 520,000 calls to its disaster assistance line since February.

"Everyone should have access to essential services, especially in the aftermath of a disaster," Senator Reynolds said.
