Meet your new Upper Hunter MP on tour

HE'S the newest face in NSW parliament and before he represents his electorate incoming member for Upper Hunter David Layzell is keen to hear from the people.

With only 18 months until the next state election, Mr Layzell will need to hit the ground running if he wishes to fulfill the long list of election promises made by the Nationals during their campaign.

The Clarence Town local will begin his new role with a listening tour around the electorate which begins in Gloucestor, before heading to Dungog, Quirindi, Merriwa, Scone and Muswellbrook.

"One of my first priorities is to hear about people's thoughts and concerns, so I can best represent the Upper Hunter," Mr Layzell said

Locals can stop in and say g'day, or stay for a chat about issues important to them over the next week as Mr Layzell hits the road in the Upper Hunter.

He will also be joining the Scone Chamber of Commerce June Chamber Breakfast next Thursday.
