Stock sales have been drawing people to the town for over one-hundred years.
And in February the Beaudesert pig and calf saleyard was granted state heritage status.
The timber saleyard was built in 1961. It's one of only a few remaining purpose-built local pig and calf saleyards left in Queensland.
But in an unusual case, Scenic Rim Regional Council is appealing against the heritage listing.
