Tracey is a35-year-old mother of two young primary school age children and has recently been diagnosed with Pagets disease, a rare form of breast cancer.
Tracey is receiving treatment covered by Medicare, however there is another treatment that is not covered by Medicare called Perjeta (Perjeta works on the surface of the cancer cell by blocking the chemical signals that can stimulate this uncontrolled growth).
This treatment can help achieve a higher survival success percentage.
Tracey's family and friends say this treatment is crucial to give Tracey's young children the chance to have their mum for as long as they can.T racey has overcome cervical cancer previously and now has this fight on her hands.
A GoFundMe campaign set up by her family is raising funds for her ongoing treatment and a fundraiser benefit show has been organised and will be held at Muswellbrook RSL club on Saturday, December 12, from midday.
There will be raffles and an auction and a country music show with entertainment from some great artists who have donated their time. The show will be compered by Mike Kennedy from Coast FM.
Performing at the event will be Donny Soper, Trinity Woodhouse, Sunset Duo, Just Jo-Ken, Sandy Halvorsen and The Rowland Family.
The Rowland family, who form local ensemble the Rowland Family Band, have long been members of the Hunter Valley Country Music Association (HVCMA). The family have supported many fundraisers themselves to assist people in the community in similar situations to what Tracey is now facing.
All proceeds made on the day will go to Tracey Rowland to aide her ongoing treatment. Tracey is such a passionate, caring person who has organised fundraisers for various charities in the past, but now let's give her some support when she needs it most. Give your love and support to Tracey and her family and friends.
The Tracey Rowland benefit show should be a great day to raise some more funds and show your support. Entry to the benefit will be $10 per person, COVID rules apply and at this stage 100 people seated due to COVID restrictions but restrictions may change allowing more,so get in quick.
