TWO people were airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital following a serious single vehicle rollover at Sandy Hollow on Friday.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) was tasked to the region about 3.30pm on October 16 after receiving a report about the accident, which occurred on Wybong Road.

NSW Ambulance paramedics and the WRHS's critical care medical team treated and stabilised an 18-year-old female and a 22-year-old male at the scene.

Both suffered multiple injuries and were flown to Newcastle, in a stable condition, for further treatment.
