Police arrest five suspects over break and enter at industrial wine manufacturer

FOUR men and one woman have been arrested in relation to a break and enter at an industrial premises on Hunter Street in Muswellbrook overnight.

Police responded to an alarm going off at a premises involved in the manufacturing and storing of fortified wine at approximately 6:20 pm.

Following their arrival at the property they noticed torch lights and heard voices inside.

After gaining entry to the building they were able to arrest a 27-year-old male at 6:50 pm, before two males aged 23 and 33, and a woman aged 23 were located and arrested outside as police were securing two vehicles believed to be used in the offence.

Following further investigations, a 23-year-old man was then arrested at a nearby food outlet around 9:25 pm.

All have been charged with aggravated break, enter and steal, enter inclosed lands, and malicious damage offences and will appear in Muswellbrook Local Court on October, 26 2020.

The 23-year-old male will also be charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana.
