Each year, the local committee - which formed about two decades ago - welcomes hundreds of people to the Upper Hunter town for its popular ceremony.
But, with all services cancelled throughout the country, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) threat, Gundy will plan something a little different in 2020.
"It's unfortunate what's transpired, as we always receive wonderful support from the township and the wider community," Trish Ferguson said.
"We were set to introduce our guest speaker Christine Bridges-Taylor, a great grandniece of Major General Sir William Throsby Bridges, who was the commanding chief at the landing of Gallipoli.
"However, that's out of play now.
"Instead, on April 25, the flag will still be flown - and locals and visitors are welcome to visit any time throughout the day.
"A basket of rosemary will be left on the top step of the hall, too, so please help yourself.
"Feel free to also leave a wreath at the flag pole if you so desire.
"It's just a small way to acknowledge our late returned servicemen.
"We will remember them.
"Lest we forget."
