Recent sampling by WaterNSW displayed a reduction in levels of blue-green algae.
The site is now at Amber Alert.
Stock and domestic users in the area are advised to remain cautious and observe extracted water supplies and stock watering areas for scums or other signs indicative of blue-green algae.
Regular monitoring will also continue.
Blue-green algae occur naturally and can reproduce quickly in favourable conditions where there is still or slow-flowing water, abundant sunlight and sufficient levels of nutrients.
