The Bengalla Upper Hunter Show, which will take place on Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21, at the Muswellbrook Showground, is bumper-to-bumper full of events for the entire family, from the popular rodeo to rides and sideshows.
Upper Hunter Show Society Inc president Keith Googe said the 2020 edition would be "something special".
"We have a number of new community participation events, which will be fun and exciting for all involved as well as those spectating," he explained.
"Our extended entertainment line-up, along with the new 20/20 Energy Hub, makes our program interesting and action-packed."
The fun kicks off on Friday, March 20, with the pavilion and sideshow alley.
Then the Rooftop Express Wild West Arena Spectacular's Heroes of the Outback will take to the centre ring at 5.30pm.
The highly-entertaining team takes horse play and cattle mustering to a whole new level.
If you miss them first time around, they will be back at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 21.
The headline entertainment on Friday night includes the rodeo, with music by Unit 20.
Saturday is set to be a cracker, with a full day of displays and rides running alongside novelty events, the grand parade and opening ceremony.
This year's Upper Hunter Showgirl winners will also be announced.
Check out sideshow alley, the wood-chopping and post-splitting events, tent pegging, working dog trials, sheep shearing and Thomas the Train.
Have a camel ride or challenge yourself to take on the mechanical bull.
You can visit the animal nursery and the 20/20 Energy Hub.
The evening will be capped off by fireworks and the demolition derby.
"The crash and bash of the derby will continue until only one car remains," Mr Googe said.
"Local band The Collective will be in action at the bar.
"This year, there is a host of events in which the community can join in, too.
"So, we're urging locals to be involved.
"Get a team together and ready yourself for the challenges coming up.
"There is the ever-popular wife carrying event and the tug of war.
"Check out the new coal shovelling race in 2020.
"There will also be the Young Farmers Challenge during the show."
