The UH Wedding and Event Expo on April 19 is being organised by local business owner Jemma Anshaw, who is passionate about supporting local enterprises.
"The drought has been great to show how everyone comes together in hard times," she said.
"And, the UH Wedding and Event Expo is just a continuation of that.
"It will showcase only Muswellbrook shire or Upper Hunter shire-based businesses to people who are planning celebrations in the area.
"There is everything you need right here, it is just a case of helping them be seen."
The Expo will be staged at the Muswellbrook Indoor Sports Centre and follows on from the publication of the independent UH Wedding and Event Guide in 2019.
There is already a range of services registered including venues, cake makers, florists, celebrants and entertainment options.
"The response from local businesses has been pretty good so far," Ms Anshaw said.
"I understand that times are hard and there is a vendor fee to help cover event and advertising costs, but it would be great to have as many local services on display as possible."
Locally-based event businesses are encouraged to contact Jemma Anshaw to obtain information about the UH Wedding and Event Expo by emailing info@uhweddingandeventguide.com.au, phoning 0431 173 493 or looking up UH Wedding and Event Guide on Facebook.
