Young child hurt in horse fall
A YOUNG child was transported to John Hunter Hospital after being hurt in a horse fall at Merriwa at the weekend.

It is believed the seven-year-boy suffered abdominal injuries, during the mid-morning incident, at the Merriwa Showground on Sunday, February 23.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being conveyed to Muswellbrook District Hospital.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service then rendezvoused with the ambulance.
The boy was later flown to Newcastle.
The patient is in a stable condition.
