FIREFIGHTERS from NSW RFS, FRNSW, National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and the Forestry Corporation are continuing to work tirelessly to gain containment on a number of blazes in the region.

But, they're not doing it alone.
They are being supported in their efforts by the NSW State Emergency Service, VRA, Marine Rescue, NSW Police and many other agencies, heavy plant and water bombing aircraft.
The Little L bushfire, located in the Singleton LGA (Local Government Area) continues to burn on multiple fronts.
"Crews are conducting tactical back burns as conditions allow them to secure properties," a NSW RFS spokesperson said.
"There is still some active fire in Stockyard Creek/Old Convict Road and Paynes Crossing Road areas.
"Pockets of residual fire are still around Yango Creek, Upper Yango Creek and Knights roads.
"It's moving in a northerly direction through Yengo National Park towards Broke and Milbrodale.
"Back-burning operations will continue north along the west side of Wollombi Road and Milbrodale Road and the east side of Putty Road to secure the northern flank in the future.
"Plans are also in motion to protect Baiame Cave and its infrastructure."
Meanwhile, back-burning on the southern end of the Crumps Complex bushfire north of Watagan Creek Road (Wollombi - Cessnock LGA) is now complete.
However, crews will remain on patrol.
On the east side, they're continuing patrols of the containment lines.
The back-burn along the Round Mountain Trail down to Holly Brook, securing the north-west, is completed and crews are now working on securing the north-east along Wollombi Road opposite Glen Eden.
There are still many pockets of active fire but all is within containment lines.
The Owendale bushfire, within the Pokolbin State Forest (Singleton LGA), is still active behind properties on the north side of the Paynes Crossing Bridge.
Crews continue to patrol Coolawine Trail to ensure this containment line remains secure.
They've been working hard to contain this fire in very difficult terrain.
The Paddock Run bushfire (Singleton LGA) crossed the Putty Road near Clear Farm and there is still activity north of Yengo Drive.
Crews conducted back-burning on the east side of Putty Road, south of Wicketty Wees, and along the north side of Yengo Drive.
There is still some active fire on the east side of Putty Valley Road.
Back-burning along the east side of Putty Road between Howes Valley and Milbrodale will need to take place in the near future.
The Kerry Ridge bushfire to the north of Putty at Kindarun has moved in from the west onto private property.
Heavy plant machinery has been deployed to protect properties in the area.
The Little L bushfire is approaching Garland Valley and Howes Valley from the east and moving in a northerly direction through Yengo National Park towards Milbrodale.
Just outside the region, the Gospers fire has reached Boree and Wallabadah.
Back-burning has been conducted in and around Boree and Wallabadah.
A large operation was conducted on Thursday and Friday, December 12 and 13, in the Bucketty area along the north side of Settlers Road from the camping ground to the intersection of Great North Road, then continued along the west side of Great North Road north the Mt Simpson Track on the south side to Boree Track.
Crews continue to patrol the area as there is still active fire in the area.
"The weather is forecasted to heat up later in the week to the mid-40s," the spokesperson said.
"Use this time to prepare your home and your family; and have a bush fire survival plan.
"It's important to know what you will do in the event of a bushfire."
