Darlington NSW Rural Fire Service's lolly run adds to excitement of the Christmas countdown

THE Darlington NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) has kicked off its 16th consecutive Christmas lolly run.

The group began the journey last Friday night and will continue - with another eight stopovers - up until Tuesday, December 24.

"We're ready to go for another year thanks to our sponsors KB Auto Electrics and AJ Stuart (for the lollies)," firefighter Adam McSweeney explained.

The lolly run adds to the excitement of the Christmas countdown in the region.

SANTA IS COMING: Darlington RFS members Ben Boehm, Aaron Stuart, Travis Cunningham, Ty Whitaker, Dean Mainey, Hayden Metcalf, Kathy Hoskin and Kirk Badior will join forces with Santa Claus over the next three weeks.

Santa will join the team to visit the following venues:

  • Saturday, December 7 - Singleton PCYC (11.15am)
  • Monday, December 9 - Singleton Scout Hall (6pm)
  • Saturday, December 14 - Rose Point Park (noon)
  • Saturday, December 14 - Singleton Golf Club (6pm)
  • Saturday, December 14 - Albion Hotel (6.30pm)
  • Monday, December 16 - Singleton Playgroup (11am)
  • Thursday, December 19 - Hunter Highlands (6pm)
  • Tuesday, December 24 - Retreat & Surrounds Area (5.30pm)
