In a first for its long-standing grants program, the company dedicated a round for developments identified by P&C committees, including Broke Public, Denman Public, Jerry Plains Public, Kirkton Park Public, Muswellbrook South Public, St Catherine's College Singleton, Singleton High and Singleton Heights Public.
Eleven projects, worth almost $200,000, were chosen from NSW applications.
"We've supported many partnerships with the NSW Department of Education, including our long-standing partnership with Star Struck and our Galuwa scholarship program for future Aboriginal leaders," Glencore's community relations manager Craig Strudwick said.
"Our sites have also supported various projects at schools within their local communities for many years.
"P&C Associations provide valuable support with a variety of projects that also aim to enhance education and children's welfare, so it seemed a logical progression to approach these committees with an offer to fund projects on their respective wish lists."
