An evacuation centre is open at Bulga Hall for those leaving their homes.

The NSW Rural Fire Service issued an emergency warning for the bushfire burning in the Wollemi National Park, with the fire spreading quickly under hot and windy conditions.

The Putty Road is closed from Colo River to Milbrodale.
