And, he added full credit needed to go to local manager De-anne Douglas.
"The PCYC isn't just about bricks and mortar; it's also about people," Mr Teakle said.
"To have leaders like De-anne makes you very honoured to be a part of the organisation.
"She gives her heart and soul to everything she does.
"And, although she often gives me a hard time, De-anne represents all that is good about PCYC."
Even Bengalla Mining Company CEO Cam Halfpenny weighed in on the tributes to Ms Douglas.
"Her contribution to the community is outstanding," he said.
"I don't know if Muswellbrook realises how lucky it is to have her in its midst.
"On top of that, the level of support towards the PCYC's Gymnastics Centre has been terrific.
"It's a wonderful facility.
"We are so excited to have played a part in De-anne's dream becoming a reality."
Thanks to generous grants from Bengalla and Liquor & Gaming NSW, as well as local fundraising, the fully-operational Muswellbrook PCYC Gymnastics Centre will present its first class on the weekend.
In fact, the donations of $145,000 from the mining company and $150,000 from the NSW Government not only contributed to the construction of the building, but also the purchase of all the equipment.
"I'm just so proud [today]," Ms Douglas said.
"It's been 18 months from when I originally spoke to Bengalla about funding.
"So, it is a massive relief to know the job is now complete.
"We live and work in an amazing community.
"Local businesses - such as the shed builders, concreters, electricians and plumbers - did the contracting work, along with a number of volunteers who selflessly gave up their time.
"I just want to thank everyone who played a role, from the residents and kids who participated in the raffles or sold the Krispy Kremes to those involved today.
"The passion and thought that has gone into this building is heart-warming.
"Then there are the [gymnastics] families, who've been so patient during the journey.
"With this facility, we can now offer more classes, including tumbling, rhythmic, all levels and even ones for adults.
"We already have more than 120 kids signed up for the next term and we are looking forward to welcoming more."
