As one of the organisers of the biannual Singleton Quiltfest exhibition, she admitted she was stoked to see so many quilt enthusiasts enter the host venue this morning on the opening day.
"This is two years of hard work for most of us, so it really is special," she admitted.
"Each year I give the girls a challenge and, in 2019, I gave them a panel and they each had to choose a panel and create a quilt using that.
"I've been here for almost 30 years and its always a privilege to be here because they are an amazing bunch of ladies."
Singleton Quilters Inc meet each Tuesday and Thursday as well as one Saturday per month.
"We're more than just a quilting group, we're friends who look out for each other," she added.
The exhibition, which opened on Friday, continues on Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22.
Entry: $5 donation (bring extra cash for a potential raffle)
Times: Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 10am-3pm
