Despite the many hardships mother nature has thrown its way, the committee has only missed one show since its inception in 1908.
The event was cancelled in 1940 due to a nine-year drought and the fact it was the second year of World War II.
Fast forward to 2019 and this Saturday, September 21, will mark the 110th installment of the show which is the largest community event on Merriwa's calendar.
It's also one show president Rob Tindall looks forward to year after year.
To mark the occasion, a massive program has been organised with some fresh new ideas which Mr Tindall puts down to the number of young people involved in the 2019 event.
"Saturday is the big day and we've got all our traditional events such as sheep, stud cattle, poultry and horses," he said.
"Our cattle program is just growing every year and we're getting more schools and kids competing, which suits us fine because one of the main drives of our show is to get the youth more involved in events and the management side as well."
Gates open at 8.30am at the Merriwa Showground and the jam-packed program includes everything from pig races, dog high jump and chainsaw art to whip cracking, steak cook offs and fireworks.
The bi-annual Showgirl Competition also returns this year, in its 58th year.
"We want to make the 110th year a major celebration," Mr Tindall added.
"It's a massive effort and by far the longest running event in Merriwa and it's just getting stronger every year.
"We've spent a bit more than we normally do and we are hoping that everyone can come out for the day and get away from the pressures of every day life.
"Events like this tend to be attended pretty well in times like this with the drought.
"People see that things are tough and if we can just get out for one day and have a few hours to let our hair down and relax I think it makes a whole lot of difference.
"Our Show Ball was a great indication of that with 150 people in attendance."
