And, the Scone Thoroughbreds maintained their dominance in the Bengalla Hunter Valley Group 21 Rugby League tag competition at home on Saturday, accounting for the Murrurundi Mavettes 18-10 in an entertaining decider.
The lead changed at least four times, with the defending premiers holding firm in the final stages.
Eventual player of the match Flynn Haggarty put Scone in the box seat early at 4-0.
However, the Mavettes struck back, via the evergreen Kimberley Brown. Grace Gallen converted and Murrurundi hit the front 6-4.
That joy was short-lived when Sophie Hinde touched down for an 8-6 scorleine.
Murrurundi rallied, courtesy of Michelle Wamsley out wide, to head into the sheds in front 10-8.
The Thoroughbreds completed a shut-out in the second half, posting 10 unanswered points.
Millie Graham and Scone captain-coach Sofie Casson crossed the tryline.
Samantha Elphick put the icing on the cake with a goal.
Casson later paid tribute to her entire playing list.
The talented playmaker, who celebrated her fifth premiership, claimed it was the "best one yet".
Ironically, the year she didn't play, Muswellbrook prevailed.
"This is probably one of the best feelings you can have," Casson said.
"I've been working hard all season and there are a lot of mums and partners of players from our other Scone teams.
"With all of this in mind, there were plenty of sacrifices to make even to get to training each week.
"So, that really reflects the commitment behind this premiership win."
The Mavettes, on the other hand, can be well proud of their efforts in 2019, too.
