The Singleton Greyhounds have taken out the Bengalla Hunter Valley Group 21 Rugby League under-18 premiership title thanks to a dominant 44-10 grand final win over Aberdeen at Scone Park.

And it was harder to find a happier man than second year coach Dan Higgins after last year's heartbreaking shock loss to Scone.
"There's still that bit of hurt from last year but today does redeem some of it," Higgins said moments after this afternoon's season decider.
"This season is a step in the right direction and some of these boys will hopefully pushing into grade while the rest will put their best foot forward and go back."
Last year the Greyhounds suffered a 24-18 defeat to Scone in their season opener at Pirtek Park before stringing 15 straight wins under captain Bailey Schultz.
Though they would secure the minor premiership they would be restricted to a single Cooper Bailey try when handed an upset 18-4 grand final defeat to the Thoroughbreds.
Aberdeen then drew level 4-4 in the early stages of today's affair.
However nothing was gong to stop Higgins' full strength line-up such was its dominance throughout their undefeated home and away season.
"Aberdeen weren't poor at all, we just defended well and made a force to score off kicks," Higgins added.
"Then we took advantage of our opportunities when we did get them."
Beau Parnell was named as the man of the match.
