Whether it's bus shelters, park seating, exercise equipment or even defibrillators - the small volunteer group are the beating heart of the community.
Upon entrance in their quaint op-shop in Aberdeen Fair, one would be surprised by the quality and price of the goods, all donated by the locals.
From the profits, Treasures then donates back to community groups and organisations.
As the locals support them, they in turn support the locals, and the cycle goes on.
And, it's a cycle which has been continuing for twenty years, with Aberdeen Treasures celebrating their 20th birthday on Thursday, September 5.
A small group of ladies called Aberdeen Community Caring started the shop when the meatworks shut down and it is now run by a team of 13 volunteers.
Since their formation, the organisation has given literally hundreds of thousands of dollars back to the township.
Over the years, some of the many community groups and organisations they have supported in Aberdeen include: Aberdeen Preschool; Aberdeen Public School; St Joseph's High School Aberdeen; Aberdeen Men's Shed; Aberdeen All Stars; Aberdeen Junior Cricket; Aberdeen Little Athletics; Aberdeen Campdraft; Aberdeen Skate Group; Upper Hunter Riding for the Disabled; Dimmocks Meats Aberdeen (farmers vouchers) and Where there's A Will.
They have also supported Upper Hunter Shire Council with numerous donations for the installation of gym and play equipment in Aberdeen and have contributed money to the installation of park benches and bus shelters around town.
"When there's a need, we meet it," explained volunteer Noelene Burke.
"It's a good place to be community wise, you feel good about yourself being a part of something that gives back.
"People are very generous and what comes around goes around because they can see that it's going back to the community.
"Carol (Johnson) has done an amazing job establishing the group."
While they describe the group as "a service for Aberdeen", the shop now attracts people through the door from Scone, Muswellbrook, Parkville, Wingen and Denman.
The volunteers say they are happy to also support facilities outside the town that are vital to Aberdeen, for example, local hospitals, with the group having given $2500 to each hospital in Scone and Muswellbrook recently.
On Thursday, September 5, all past volunteers and customers are invited to come along and help Aberdeen Treasures celebrate the past 20 years.
There will be shop decorations, drinks and the cutting of a birthday cake at 10am.
