If the answer is "yes", Hunter MP Joel Fitzgibbon is calling for nominations for outstanding volunteers in the electorate.
In appreciation of the significant contribution and immense value of our local unpaid workers, he's hosting a Volunteers Awards event on Tuesday, September 24.
Nominations are now officially open and Mr Fitzgibbon is calling for community members to put forward individuals they believe deserve recognition for their contribution.
"We are fortunate to have thousands of volunteers who contribute hours of their time in the Hunter electorate by selflessly providing a helping hand in our communities," he said.
"Recognition and appreciation can go a long way, which is why I am hosting an event in September.
"It's my way to acknowledge, and thank, our volunteers for giving so much to our communities and for making it a supportive and special place to live.
"If you know someone who is deserving of recognition, please submit a nomination.
"Your nomination will serve as a way of saying thank you and paying tribute to the time and effort they give to others."
If you identify with someone special who has contributed to the community as a volunteer, nominate them for a Hunter Volunteer Award before COB Friday, September 6, by picking up a nomination form from 3 Edward Street, Cessnock or by completing it online at www.joelfitzgibbon.com/volunteer_awards_2019
Award recipients will be invited to attend the Hunter Volunteer Awards event on Tuesday, September 24.
