A VACANT restaurant for lease in Pokolbin is expected to whet the appetite of foodie occupiers.
The former home of the Casuarina Restaurant - located at 1023 Hermitage Road - was this week launched to market by JLL's head of retail, NSW, Jeremy Prestoe.
"It's the first time in 15 years this premium site has been offered for lease," he said.
"We've brought to the table an ideal opportunity to breathe new life into a trophy restaurant, which sits within the Casuarina Estate in the popular Hunter Valley, one of the state's top tourist destinations.
"Casuarina Restaurant, as it was previously known, was one of the region's premier dining spots for more than a decade and won several awards over the years."
Located within the Casuarina Estate, the 548sqm restaurant can seat 150 and includes a bar, wine room and cellar, private dining space and a garden for al fresco dining.
"The owner has spent the past year restoring Casuarina Estate, which includes luxury accommodation, guest houses and suites, a pool, tennis courts and a vineyard," Mr Prestoe said.
"The restaurant's elegant interior design with space and volume features some antique furniture and the fully fitted-out kitchen is ready for its next service."
The eatery is positioned to cater to the public as well as to guests of the resort, which offers themed suites and vineyard cottages.
Mr Prestoe said there had already been strong interest in the restaurant lease.
"We expect it will appeal to the highest calibre of occupant, maybe even to some of Australia's best-known chefs," he added.
Expressions of interest for the lease of the restaurant close on September 30.
