CYCLING NSW chief executive officer Graham Seers has praised Singleton following the recent success of the 2019 NSW Club Team Time Trial Championships.

The beauty of the Glendon area pedalled into the limelight this month with more than 400 riders from across NSW and the ACT descending on the town for the event.
Mr Seers, who competed in the individual road race at the 1980 Olympic Games, said Singleton's favourable Hunter location made it an accessible destination for visitors.
"Singleton is centrally located within NSW and only 2.5 hours from Sydney, so it was really convenient for families to come up for the weekend," he explained.
"I cannot express in words just how fantastic the Singleton Council team, the community and area were for the Team Time Trial Championship.
"Not only was the community accepting of the event, the warmth and friendliness displayed to the cycling community was something to enjoy and appreciate."
Singleton will also play a crucial role in supporting the future of Australian road cycling on the world stage.
"It is getting harder and harder administratively to run cycling events on the road," Mr Seers said.
"That's why it's crucial to have the backing of Singleton Council for at least the next two years, especially as we build towards the road cycling world championships in Wollongong 2022."
A first for the Singleton LGA (local government area) after the event was relocated from Nowra, Singleton Council general manager Jason Linnane said his organisation was proud to work with Cycling NSW to bring such a fantastic weekend of racing to the Hunter.
"Singleton is the perfect place for adventure and I couldn't think of no better setting for one of the most popular events on the state's cycling calendar, with 400 riders saddling up and experiencing all the amazing scenery, food and wine that we have to offer," he added.
"The success is testament to our beautiful surroundings, our supportive community and our willingness to host sporting events such as this.
"Our friendly staff are excited to work with organisations like Cycling NSW to bring something new and different to our area for the benefit of our community.
"Singleton is where adventure truly begins - from grazing pastures and distant rolling mountains, our LGA kindly serves up some pretty amazing scenery, which was sure to ease the suffering of our time trial competitors.
"We look forward to welcoming all these riders back to our region in 2020 and seeing the direct benefit that it brings to local businesses and promoting not only cycling, but Singleton as a destination on the national and international stage."
