They will play at the Scone Junior Rugby Club, Brumbies Park, Aberdeen Street, Scone, against Gunnedah Junior Rugby Girls and Calrossy Tamworth Girls teams.
This competition forms the lead up to the NSW State 7s Titles in Foster next month.
The Scone Junior Rugby Girls teams consist of players from a variety of districts through the Upper Hunter including: Scone; Muswellbrook; Aberdeen; Merriwa; Murrurundi; and Wingen.
It will be a welcome reprieve for local coach, Michelle Edwards, who drives these teams to Tamworth on the Scone Grammar School bus most Friday nights.
"Mrs Michelle Edwards, our Scone Grammar School Operations Manager, is passionate about rugby and has given some of our female secondary students a wonderful opportunity to participate in a sport they are growing to love," Scone Grammar School Principal Paul Smart said.
"We're thrilled to team up with students from other schools in the Upper Hunter to provide the community with this opportunity and we're very grateful to Mrs Edwards for her commitment and support."
Scone Junior Rugby Girls teams play two formats of rugby starting with the 10 a side competition in May.
The Under 14's girls were undefeated and took out the trophy for this competition, with our Under 16's and Open team, combined with Quirinidi, also playing a great season.
We would encourage as many as possible to support these teams on Friday night with canteen and refreshments also available.
