And, locals throughout the Upper Hunter are invited to join them.
The third annual Sandy Hollow Charity Ball will embrace the Class of 2019 Prom Night theme at the Sandy Hollow Community Hall on Saturday, August 10, from 6pm until midnight.
"It's something everyone looks forward to - getting dressed up and having fun," said one of the organisers, Dimity Lane.
"We've previously raised approximately $8000, which has been shared between the Sandy Hollow Public School and the Sandy Hollow Community Hall.
"The school used the money to fund its Learn to Swim Program, while the community hall underwent a few upgrades to the facility.
"This year, we intend to donate back towards the same two groups.
"In the end, everyone in our small community benefits from this money."
Tickets are $90 per person, which includes an entry into the lucky door prize draw, a two-course meal provided by eat 153 Merriwa and entertainment by Newcastle band Alotta Klassix.
"There will also be a raffle, a silent auction and games on the night," Ms Lane said.
"However, the event is strictly an 18+ function and we will have security in place to monitor this.
"It is also BYO alcohol and accommodation is available at the Sandy Hollow Tourist Park across the road from the venue."
Tickets are available from huntervalleytickets.com
