The Murrurundi Mavette, Hunter Valley Group 21 league tag and tackle representative will take the field for Central North in the rival code after impressing selectors as a member of the Inverell Highlanders.
In fact, 12 of her team mates made the 30-strong squad, including captain Lauren Nott.
Now, following weeks of training and competition, Central North is well-placed to claim its first high-profile title.
The side faces Central West and Illawarra in its pool games at Scully Park on Saturday morning.
And, Prudden can't wait to rip in.
"I think we should go well," she said.
"Luckily, there are quite a few of us who have played together before, with some new talent coming through.
"We've all gelled at training, too.
"That is a massive thing in a team environment - you gain a really good bond with your team mates.
"The preparation's also been great.
"You get to be involved with some amazing players while learning new skills.
"Dale Beattie (coach) is really good with the training programs and keeps up-to-date [with us] to see how we get on, especially with a fair few of us being a distance away from each other."
Even though she's made a huge impact in local league circles in recent times, Prudden is no stranger to the "game they play in heaven".
"I started playing rugby in Scone about three years ago - for the Brumbies," she said.
"That was the first season the club contested a women's 7's tournament.
"I then played again, for the Brumbies, in 2018.
"I guess it is different from league but, also, similar in a certain aspect.
"With union there is a lot more going on at the breakdown and I feel you have to work a lot harder to keep possession of the ball.
"It hasn't been too hard, however, adapting between the two.
"Although, sometimes, I do find myself going back 10 metres, which you don't need to do in rugby."
Prudden admitted it felt "awesome" being selected to represent the region again.
"I was lucky enough to be named in Central North last year as well," she said.
"But, it's always a great honour to be picked to play not only for your club but for your area."
