In its second year, the free family event will take place on Saturday, May 11, as part of the Glencore Singleton Festival, celebrating all things art and culture in the town.
Singleton mayor Sue Moore said Firelight was amazingly popular when it made its debut in 2018.
She's expecting an even bigger crowd this time around with an amazing visual spectacular on offer between 6pm and 10pm.
"This year, our events team has gone even bigger with all of the Civic precinct set to be transformed into a hothouse of entertainment, food and family-friendly fun," Cr Moore said.
"We will have vibrant pyrotechnics, an African drumming performance, an incredible laser show, alongside some of the best food and wine the Hunter Valley has to offer.
"And, the entertainment just keeps coming.
"The Singleton Amateur Theatre Society (SATS) will be there on the night with a sneak peek of their upcoming performance of Les Miserable, and car enthusiasts will appreciate the hot rod show.
"People can grab some dinner from one of the many food trucks onsite, or simply bring along a picnic rug and enjoy a sausage sizzle as well as the entertainment."
The Yancoal Singleton Art Prize exhibition will also be open in the Civic Centre on the night.
Entry costs just $2.
The Glencore Singleton Festival will continue until Sunday, May 19, with a host of events over the weekend, including the Bulga Beats Festival from Friday to Sunday (May 17 to 19); Writing Gymnastics workshop on Saturday, May 18; and Soulful Gospel with Café of the Gate of Salvation and Burdekin Bandfest (featuring the Singleton Town Band and local school bands) on the final day.
Glencore's community relations manager Craig Strudwick said the festival showcased a diverse range of endeavours and the creativity of the Singleton community.
"We're pleased to have been able to help bring these events together to showcase and grow the creative talents of our community," he said.
Cr Moore said the Glencore Singleton Festival committee and council's events team had done an amazing job to coordinate such a wide ranging program.
"The festival is a great way for locals to find renewed inspiration in all that Singleton has to offer," she said.
"Visitors can also discover the hidden and not-so-hidden gems that make Singleton a hub of creativity and community."
