Branxton Pre-School is a not-for-profit group supported by its management committee, which is made up of motivated parents who assist with coordinating events with the sole aim to fundraise for the pre-school and give back to their community.
The investment will go towards the purchase of new marquees, which will be used at community activities, celebration days, market stalls and fundraising functions, as well as providing outdoor shelter.
"The Branxton community is tight-knit and generous," Mr Fitzgibbon said.
"That is reflected in the time and energy Branxton Pre-School's volunteers dedicate to making the community organisation a richer place.
"I hope this investment helps in a practical sense to support the incredible work of the pre-school's staff and volunteers.
"Community pre-school facilities like Branxton Pre-school provide inclusive and nurturing environments for learning, which is so important for the early development of children."
Branxton Pre-school is one of 41 volunteer organisations in the Hunter electorate to share in $145,395 under the Volunteer Grants program.
The grants provide small amounts of money that organisations and community groups can use to help their volunteers.
