The composting at home and worm farming workshops, hosted by Peter Rutherford from the Kimbriki Resource Recovery Centre, are back by popular demand after being successfully held last year.
Bookings are essential.
Upper Hunter Shire Council’s sustainability and environment manager Melinda Hale said the regular free workshops were based on topics central to council’s Sustainability Action Plan.
“If you are interested, register early as most of our previous workshops have been completely booked,” she said.
“All participants for the two workshops must live in the Upper Hunter Shire, complete training and three online surveys to provide feedback on their composting experience and be able to collect their equipment by vehicle at the venue (after training).
“It’s suitable for all ages and abilities.
“However, children must be accompanied by an adult and do not need to be registered.”
