Consisting of golf, lawn bowls, darts and pool, the competition saw participants flock from around the region and the state to take part.
Event organiser Anthony “Ando” Taylor said the event was a “massive success”.
“There was some really impressive performances throughout the event including a couple of surprise packets,” he said.
“I have been running these events for some time now and Mick’s overall score of 29 is the second highest score ever.
“As well as that, a local guy named Ronnie Ferguson came out of the blue to take out the runner-up trophy.”
Anderson said plans were already being put in place for next year’s event.
“We got a lot of feedback from guys about how we can improve the competition going forward and there was event talk of forming a committee,” he said.
“One of the things that was floated was potentially having a team from each of the local pubs next year.
“Honestly, there was a lot of great ideas floated and the event has been so well received I don’t think there’s any way I could not run it again next year.”
The Clubtathelon founder said this year’s event could not have run smoothly without the help of the Murrurundi community.
“I want to really thank the golf club and the bowling club for their support this year,” Anderson said.
“Given how warm it was on the day both clubs were able to help us stick to the shortened format and made it a really enjoyable day for everyone.
“I think we have to go around again next year and I really can’t wait.”
